Proceedings of the DG JRC Enlargement and Integration Workshop on Cogeneration 9-10 June 2005, Petten (NL)
The Enlargement and Integration Workshop at JRC-IE Petten on 9-10 June 2005 was intended to inform participants from the New Member, Candidate and West Balkan States about progress with the Cogeneration Directive 2004/8/EC. Although most of these countries have a very strong cogeneration sector, there is strong interest in extending and updating existing systems, using natural gas or biomass as fuels. Some presentations were made by external speakers on IC engines and micropower systems for cogeneration. Proposals were made for a follow-up workshop next year when the Directive will be fully implemented.
