"Book review: Globalization, Employment and Income Distribution in Developing Countries"

The book offers readers an opportunity to look into the impact of globalization on employment, income distribution and poverty in DCs. It presents the final outcome of a research project, following up the publication on the first phase by Eddy Lee and Marco Vivarelli (2004). This supplement offers a compendium of detailed studies on a diverse sample of DCs, together with an introduction and some final results and policy implications. The sample of countries ( Morocco, Ghana, Vietnam, Kazakhstan and Nepal) was chosen with the intention of reflecting the diverse experience with globalization processes in countries in different regions of the developing world, with different levels of per capita income and with different starting conditions in terms of their institutional and policy environment.
