Export Control: "Seminar on best practices in the area of technical review of export licenses", 28-29-30 November 2007 European Commission - Joint Research Centre

This seminar was organised jointly by the International Non-proliferation Export Control Program of the US DoE and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. Participation of experts from Argonne National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (USA), BAFA (Germany), Ministry of international trade (Italy), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Finland) and Commissariat à l¿Energie Atomique (France) made it possible. The focus of the seminar is on the contribution that technical analysis can make to the export license review process, not on the policy that drives the final issue / deny decision. The seminar will focus on a methodology for assessing proliferation risk.
