The ICORS09 International Conference of Robust Statistics - Book of Abstracts
The publication contains all submitted and accepted abstracts for the International Conference on Robust Statistics (ICORS) conference. ICORS is a yearly international conference which was organized for the first time in 2001. The objective of ICORS is to provide a forum for new developments and applications of robust and nonparametric statistics. Leading statisticians and scientists, as well as young researchers and students from all over the world come together to exchange knowledge and to build scientific and social contacts between participants. On average 150-200 scholars attend the conference. Among the steering committee of ICORS and the scientific committees which organized previous ICORS conferences there are well-known statisticians from all over the world. The ICORS 2009 conference aims to join people working on robust statistics and related fields. It intends to bring together both leading experts and young researchers, thus creating a forum to cover recent progress and to stimulate exchanges among active researchers. The conference will also encourage informal contacts and discussions between participants. Contributions to applied and theoretical robust statistics are welcome, as well as presentations introducing new problems related to or interacting with robust statistics.
