Structure extraction and characterization from Differential Morphological Decomposition
In this paper, gray-level structure extraction technique based
on Differential Morphological Decomposition is described.
Then, structure characteristics are proposed and mathematically
formulated. Finally, the impact of these characteristics,
namely scale, area, compactness and eccentricity, is visually
assessed with very high resolution image for describing human
settlements.
