Abstract: We present a novel method that can automatically and accurately determine object heights in multi-angular WorldView-2 Ortho Ready Product panchromatic images without the need for satellite ephemiris information. The solution uses fast template matching running on the GPU and takes advantage of the parallax in the multi-angular images. Results focus on building heights but the method can be applied to any object in the scene. The method was validated against known building heights acquired from public sources and manually calculated with accuracies of less than 1m for building heights ranging between 8 and 160 m.
