Identity verification using smartphones in a partecipatory surveillance scenario
Verifying the identity of persons is an important step in emergency situations. The case of emergency evacuation is one example of a situation in which a quick, secure, reliable mechanism to identify the people involved and check that the persons gathered at the meeting point are all those who are expected is a crucial step.
In this report we describe the implementation of an application running on an off-the-shelf modern smartphone which can be used to quickly verify the identity of the employees gathered at the meeting point in case of an emergency.
